ConfirmationOur Confirmation preparation program is a 2-year program for 9th and 10th grade students. While preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation, students take a close look at the belief statements in The Apostles’ Creed, read scripture, build a stronger prayer life and develop a deeper relationship with Christ. -
Confirmation – Grades 9 and up

Our Confirmation preparation program is a 2-year program for 9th and 10th grade students that begins in the Fall of Year I and is completed in the Spring of Year II. This program is open to students in 9th grade or older. The formation includes small and large group study using Chosen: Your Journey to Confirmation, by Ascension Press. This program offers a nice balance of faith, fun and powerful videos featuring 14 of the top youth experts in the Church today. Students will explore the Catholic faith in a way that calls them to really live their faith. Year 2 students will also go on a Confirmation retreat.
Our Confirmation students are also involved in the St. Dominic youth group. After Confirmation, students are welcomed into the life of the parish. Opportunities include small groups, volunteering at Mass, being a Youth Leader or other parish ministries.

Only one form per family is necessary.

All communication pertaining to Confirmation will be sent to parents through the Flocknote groups for Confirmation Year 1 and Confirmation Year 2. If this is your first year as a Faith Formation parent, be sure to create a Flocknote account on the main Faith Formation page. After you create your account, make sure you join all groups you wish to be part of. Returning parents, please make sure your contact information is correct.
Confirmation Date:
The date for the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation for Year 2 Candidates who will be confirmed in the spring of 2026 is determined by the Archdiocese and will be Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Paul.

Baptismal Records
In order for your child to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, we need the name and address of the church where your child was baptized so that a Sacramental Record can be obtained.
Please complete the online form below by Nov. 15, 2025. If your child was baptized in the United States and you complete the form, no further steps will be required.
If your child was not baptized in the United States, please complete the form and then contact the church where your child was baptized and request your child’s baptismal record. Request that it be mailed directly to the St. Dominic parish office by December 1, 2025.
