ConfirmationOur Confirmation preparation program is a 2-year program for 7th and 8th grade students. While we are transitioning from 9th/10th grade to 7th/8th grade, students will be grouped in classes by age. -
Confirmation – Grades 7 and up

Our Confirmation preparation program is a 2-year program available beginning in 7th grade. (This program is open to students 7th grade and older with students grouped by age.) The formation includes small and large group study using Chosen: Your Journey to Confirmation, by Ascension Press. This program offers a nice balance of faith, fun and powerful videos featuring 14 of the top youth experts in the Church today. Students will explore the Catholic faith in a way that calls them to really live their faith. Year 2 students will also go on a Confirmation retreat.
Our Confirmation students are also involved in the St. Dominic youth group. After Confirmation, students are welcomed into the life of the parish. Opportunities include small groups, volunteering at Mass, being a Youth Leader or other parish ministries.

Only one form per family is necessary.

All communication pertaining to Confirmation will be sent to parents through the Flocknote groups for Confirmation Year 1 and Confirmation Year 2. If this is your first year as a Faith Formation parent, be sure to create a Flocknote account on the main Faith Formation page. After you create your account, make sure you join all groups you wish to be part of. Returning parents, please make sure your contact information is correct.
Confirmation Date:
The date for the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation for Year 2 Candidates who will be confirmed in the spring of 2027 is determined by the Archdiocese. Confirmation with be Thursday, May 20, 2027 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Paul.

Baptismal Records
In order for your child to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, we need an official record of Baptism from the church where your child was baptized.
If your child was not baptized at St. Dominic Church in Northfield, you will need to obtain a new baptismal record/certificate from the church where he/she as baptized and have it mailed to the Parish Office.
